چکیده
Tropical freshwater eels (Anguilla bengalensis and Anguilla bicolor) contribute a major share of the world's wild-caught eel production, having become next target owing to declines in availability both japonica anguilla, species that have traditionally contributed aquaculture trade. Although A. bicolor are assessed as Near Threatened on International Union for Conservation Nature Red List, these assessments primarily based anecdotal information local knowledge population declines. Demographics exploitation levels were determined from small coastal river systems, their adjoining aquascapes Western Ghats hotspot southern peninsular India, value data future conservation planning discussed. The computed estimates annual catch study region between 0.17 (A. 0.30 t bengalensis). Virtual analysis showed drastic decline (in number) length groups >45 cm species, suggesting they less likely attain asymptotic region. Current rates unsustainable, those almost close reaching this level. Exploitation all life stages yellow adults (29–171 cm) is cause recruitment failure significant mortality spawning individuals species. An integrative approach, including raising awareness (leading voluntary restrictions), fishing closures reservoirs, village-level quotas, regular monitoring populations, will ensure sustainable hotspot, elsewhere tropics where exploited.

All - Termination ( SCP )
We recently introduced the All-Termination(T ) problem: given a termination solver T and a function F , find every subset of the formal parameters to F whose consideration is sufficient to show, using T , that F terminates. These subsets can be harnessed by a theorem prover to locate and justify induction schemes, and are also useful for guiding rewriting heuristics and ensuring their terminati...
متن کاملImpact of SCP-2/SCP-x gene ablation and dietary cholesterol on hepatic lipid accumulation.
While a high-cholesterol diet induces hepatic steatosis, the role of intracellular sterol carrier protein-2/sterol carrier protein-x (SCP-2/SCP-x) proteins is unknown. We hypothesized that ablating SCP-2/SCP-x [double knockout (DKO)] would impact hepatic lipids (cholesterol and cholesteryl ester), especially in high-cholesterol-fed mice. DKO did not alter food consumption, and body weight (BW) ...
متن کاملSCP in Agriculture and Rural Development
Introduction Achieving more sustainable consumption and production in the agricultural sector requires a coherent response to the intimate linkages between agricultural production, agro-ecosystems and the people who rely on them, and also the concerns and preferences of a growing number of consumers. Less input intensive and more resource efficient agriculture offers a means to strengthen the c...
متن کاملe-SCP-ECG+ Protocol: An Expansion on SCP-ECG Protocol for Health Telemonitoring—Pilot Implementation
Standard Communication Protocol for Computer-assisted Electrocardiography (SCP-ECG) provides standardized communication among different ECG devices and medical information systems. This paper extends the use of this protocol in order to be included in health monitoring systems. It introduces new sections into SCP-ECG structure for transferring data for positioning, allergies, and five additiona...
متن کاملSCP-2/SCP-x gene ablation alters lipid raft domains in primary cultured mouse hepatocytes.
Although reverse cholesterol transport from peripheral cell types is mediated through plasma membrane microdomains termed lipid rafts, almost nothing is known regarding the existence, protein/lipid composition, or structure of these putative domains in liver hepatocytes, cells responsible for the net removal of cholesterol from the body. Lipid rafts purified from hepatocyte plasma membranes by ...
